It is recommended you take this mission on using a 5000-6000 point fleet. All we've got to do now is jump inside the Sagittaron border, hijack the Cylon chemical weapons, and get out before we cause a political disaster. We've got the green light from Cain to enter Sagittaron space to retrieve samples of the chemicals used in the attacks.

Adjunct ruling on a confiscation operation made it through Quorum twenty minutes ago. I think the Cylons explicitly targeted Sagittaron because they expect Colonial Fleet to hesitate before breaking the embargo. Chatter amongst Cottle's crew says they still can't pin down exactly what the Cylons used in these attacks. I beat the first season on Fleet Admiral, but then quit playing at that level.Complete Chapter 7. Even with some very powerful fleets, it winds up being a boring grind. Like Anabasis used to be before the Modern Ships Pack- and the hike in Fleet Points to 12,000 and 16,000 - I found that I don't like fighting defensive all the time. When you get into the Fleet Admiral level, you are pretty much forced into defensive playing. Of course, it's all based on providing both good offense as well as defense, which is my style of play. The right balance of guns, missiles and Vipers - along with creative tactics - has always served me well. With differing and more powerful Cylon fleets cropping up, I have a Colonial fleet that has the right tools - when used with the right tactics - for victory even up to the Admiral or Fleet Admiral level.four in particular.įleet composition matters. I found out during my second play-through of Season 1 that there are eight fleets providing all the tools needed to win throughout the game. I built four of eight key 8,000-point Battlestar fleets for Sin and Sacrifice and Resurrection onward. The first time through (several months ago) - I did a bum rush through the last missions (as it is intended to be played).with ship losses be darned. My next attempt will be a fleet of 3xJupiter, 1 x Artie. and having multiple Assault raptors also is nice ) I may want to retry without a Minerva (I am worried that it is too easily to just pop a Celestra if you make a wrong move). Although.taking out TWO basestars in one turn has it's perks. I forgot how delicate the Minervas are when you don't have Celestras around. These last battles (with four battlewagons) have about 11 or so squadrons. I have been fighting most of this campaign with only 5-6 squadrons on the decks.

:) Although I put all of the fleets into Alpha quadrant at the end, I knew almost all the ships would just sit out the last few turns. I just liked building the entire "Colonial Fleet" such that I reached a nice steady state of smacking cylon fleets around prior to embarking on the final few missions. Yeah, I know the end of S&S really doesn't need more than one *good* fleet, with a few extra ships to deal with attrition. the key being not to jump into the campaign until you do the grind and build up one or two good fleets. I think I did Resurrection twice.the second time I opted not to import fleets. The Mirandas are Veterans and the Arties are elite. Not sure if ship veterancy should be factor here. Nukes are nice.but I am not willing to ditch Missiles for them. Got to survive the Cylon Gun line to make that happen. Torps are best for BaseStars - but I honestly find that if I have enough flak to deal with the missile barrage and I can clear out the raider spam, then I can just stroll down the ball field and smack the base stars with a bat. the best is to just gun them down with prejudice). In terms of munitions I always found Guided Missiles good enough - best way to deal with roving Nemesis and Ceretas. No need to get cute.just go in and wipe out the raiders with vipers.

In all cases I am thinking 1 or 2 Assault raptors.and balance vipers. Geez, I almost wish I could take a Celestra for support rather than the Deadelus. Cylons will probably target the Jupiters rather than the Minervas. Trades a squadron for two munitions.a bit more overall firepower but less staying power.īut then I started thinking "No Guts No Glory" ditch the Celestra and just barrel in with 2 x Jupiter and 2 x Minerva.

If I ditch the Berserk, I can swap to Galactica, 2 x Minerva, 1 x Artie with the Celestra. I was thinking of 1 x Jupiter (Galactica), 3 x Artimis, 1 x Berserk, 1 x Celestra (Plus Deadelus) but I got to thinking. Earlier in the campaign, I was limiting myself to two battlestars per fleet. Of course, I am going in with an 8,000 pt fleet. I have played once before, so I remember what's coming.but I am curious how others approach the final two battles. So - I am currently priming for the last two missions on my current run through Sin and Sacrifice.
